Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

Our website, https://www.cfigroup.it/privacy-policy/ (hereafter: “the website”) uses cookies and other related technologies (for convenience all technologies are referred to as “cookies”). Cookies are also placed by third parties that we have engaged. In the document below we inform you about the use of cookies on our website. This Policy has been updated according to the Cookies and Other Tracking Tools Guidelines – June 10, 2021 (Published in the Official Gazette No. 163 of July 9, 2021) issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are simple files sent along with the pages on this site and saved by your browser on your computer’s hard drive or other device. The information collected in them may be sent back to our servers or to third-party servers during your next visit.

These are strings of text that websites (so-called publishers, or “first parties”) visited by the user or different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”) place and store-directly, in the case of publishers, and indirectly, i.e., through them, in the case of “third parties”-within a terminal device in the user’s availability.

The terminals referred to are, for example, a computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information.

Software for browsing the Internet and operating these devices, e.g., browsers, can store cookies and then transmit them back to the sites that generated them on a subsequent visit by the same user, thus maintaining memory of his or her previous interaction with one or more websites.

Information encoded in cookies can include personal data, such as an IP address, user name, unique identifier, or e-mail address, but it can also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site.

Cookies can therefore perform important and diverse functions, including tracking sessions, storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, facilitating the enjoyment of online content etc. For example, they can be used to keep track of items in an online shopping cart or information used to fill out a computer form.

The same result can also be achieved through the use of other tools (the totality of which can be distinguished between so-called “active identifiers,” such as precisely cookies, and “passive identifiers,” the latter assuming mere observation), which allow for processing similar to that indicated above.

“Passive” tools include fingerprinting, i.e., that technique which makes it possible to identify the device used by the user through the collection of all or some of the information relating to the specific configuration of the device itself adopted by the data subject. This technique can be used for the achievement of the same purposes of profiling also aimed at the display of personalized behavioral advertising and the analysis and monitoring of the behavior of visitors to websites, that is, to conform type and mode of services rendered to the behavior of the user subject to previous observation.

3. 3. What are scripts?

A script is a piece of code used to make our site work properly and interactively. This code runs on our servers or on your device.

4. What is a web beacon?

A web beacon (or pixel tag) is a small, invisible piece of text or image on a site that is used to track website traffic. To do this, various data about you are stored using web beacons.

5. Classification of Cookies

Cookies and other tracking tools can be classified according to duration (they can thus be distinguished into session or permanent cookies), or they can be classified into first-party cookies installed directly by the website the user is visiting, and third-party cookies, installed by a domain different from the one the user is visiting.

5.1 Technical or functional cookies

Some cookies ensure that the site works properly and that your preferences remain valid. By placing functional cookies, we make it easier for you to visit our website. This way you don’t have to repeatedly enter the same information when you visit our website, for example, the item stays in your shopping cart until you have paid for it. We can place these cookies without your consent.

5.2 Marketing/tracking cookies

Marketing/tracking cookies are cookies or any other form of local storage used to create user profiles to display advertisements or to track you on this website or different websites for similar marketing purposes.

5.3 Social media

We have embedded Facebook and LinkedIn content on our website to promote web pages (e.g. “like”, “pin”) or share them (e.g. “tweet”) on social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn. This content is embedded with code derived from Facebook and LinkedIn and inserts cookies. This content may store and process some information for personalized advertising.

Read the privacy policy of these social networks (which may change regularly) to learn what they do with your (personal) data that they process using these cookies. The data obtained is anonymized as much as possible.

Below you will find all the information about the cookies installed through this site, and the necessary guidance on how to manage your preferences regarding them.
